New Dexter

چکیده
We propose a theoretical device for modeling the creation of new in-discernible semantic objects during program execution. The method fits well with the semantics of imperative, functional, and object-oriented languages and promotes equational reasoning about higher-order state.

Brzozowski's Algorithm (Co)Algebraically
We give a new presentation of Brzozowski’s algorithm to minimize finite automata, using elementary facts from universal algebra and coalgebra, and building on earlier work by Arbib and Manes on the duality between reachability and observability. This leads to a simple proof of its correctness and opens the door to further generalizations. This paper is dedicated to Dexter Kozen on the occasion ...
متن کاملCulture of phenotypically defined hematopoietic stem cells and other progenitors at limiting dilution on Dexter monolayers.
Highly enriched, phenotypically defined hematopoietic stem, Thy-1loLin-Sca-1+, and progenitor cell populations from mouse bone marrow (BM) were tested at limiting dilution for their ability to reconstitute Dexter monolayers. Several classes of BM cells can reconstitute Dexter cultures, first forming discrete "cobblestone" areas which then mature into colonies consisting primarily of maturing my...
متن کاملFurther Modifications to the Dexter Hypertext Reference Model: a Proposal
The Dexter Hypertext Reference Model is considered the most general formal expression for the description of hypertext systems. Its purpose is to present a standard for the realization and the organization of this kind of system. The model gives a set of definitions, expressed in Z language, describing the nodes and links forming the domain network. Besides the relationship between components i...
متن کاملDexter: Plugging-n-Playing with Data Sources in Your Browser
We present Dexter, a browser-based, general purpose data exploration system for end-users. Dexter enables end-users to easily query across multiple Web-accessible heterogeneous (semi-) structured data sources with higher expressivity than that is usually directly supported by the sources. A novelty of our approach lies in the client-sided evaluation of end-user queries. Our query evaluation tec...
متن کاملRule-Based Exploration of Structured Data in the Browser
We present Dexter, a browser-based, domain-independent structured-data explorer for users. Dexter enables users to explore data from multiple local and Web-accessible heterogeneous data sources such as files, Web pages, APIs and databases in the form of tables. Dexter’s users can also compute tables from existing ones as well as validate the tables (base or computed) through declarative rules. ...
